STEEL  CAMERAS

Ground Flare Camera

CCTV has become the preferred method for complying with the EPA’s Flare Emission Observation requirements. This method is spelled out under 40 CFR § 63.670 and 40 CFR § 63.105.

The requirements for this method are:

  1. The images of all flares must be recorded at a rate of 4 frames/minutes.
  2. The images must be time and date stamped.
  3. The video must be saved for a minimum of 3 years.
  4. The real time video must be displayed in a continuously manned location.

Bass Electronics has a flare yard camera system that meets all these requirements and is built to withstand the incredible amount of heat generated during a flare event.
